ZUMBROTA – Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School Principal Erick Enger has accepted the superintendent position at Lake City Schools beginning in the 2014-15 school year. Contracts in the public schools start on July 1 each year.

ZM Superintendent Tony Simons said, “We knew he applied and was a strong candidate. He told us he was exploring opportunities. We will miss him because he has been at the district for over twenty years, as a teacher, coach, and high school principal. But we understand people have career goals. We are very excited about this opportunity for him. We have enjoyed his success. Success breeds success. We know he will bring success to Lake City, too.”

About the change this will bring and future at the ZM Schools, Simons said, “This will be fine for ZM. Things are in place. Locked in…We will find the right person to continue on…We will keep the public up to date.”
